The ubiquitous network and various applications are expected to be realized rapidly. In this paper, the ubiquitous network is defined as the unified network to integrate the mobile wireless network with the fixed IP based network including W-LAN. First, the ubiquitous network architecture is shown which is based on IMS (IP multimedia subsystem) standardized by 3GPP as Release 5. Next, Parlay is described as one of the solution of open API approach to create the various sophisticated application services. Then the trial result is shown including the system configuration and service examples
