In this paper, we investigate all-optical ultrafast pulse-position-modulation (PPM) based header processing scheme for all-optical packet-switched network with up to 32 nodes by means of software simulation. A new routing table and packet header address format based on PPM is proposed, which offers reduced routing table size and the header-processing time. In addition, we show that packet forwarding in multiple transmitting modes is also possible. Simulation results presented demonstrate the working principal of the proposed concept
