The rigorous theories are generalized to analyze H-plane waveguide junctions with canonical types of discontinuities. A strategy of optimising parameters of such discontinuities is given and numerically illustrated. Analysis of the scattering characteristics of waveguide tee with strip discontinuities is done, and optimal parameters of these discontinuities are predicted.
