Two kinds of methods have been proposed to compensate or eliminate the capacitor mismatch of switched-capacitor A/D (analog-to-digital) and D/A converters. In the first method, a cyclic D/A converter with the facility of the automatic compensation of the capacitor mismatch can be realized. In the second method, a ratio-independent cyclic A/D converter can be realized. Cyclic A/D and D/A converters designed using these methods are presented. Measurements on the proposed circuits built with discrete components proved the expected performance.<>
