An integrated wideband rectangular dielectric resonator antenna for 5 GHz WLAN is reported. The antenna with small ground plane is probe fed by a pair of magnetic dipole and magnetic loop. The proposed antenna structure exhibits wide input impedance bandwidth of 23.2%, high radiation gain (5 dBi at 5.5 GHz) and unidirectional radiation pattern which is suitable for application in a 5 GHz WLAN system.
