In this paper, we first present a link-bandwidth calculation algorithm that wireless nodes equipped with directional antennas can use to determine the available link bandwidth to any of their neighbors. We then use the link-bandwidth calculation algorithm to propose an end-to-end flow QoS routing scheme for static wireless ad-hoc networks using directional antennas. The proposed routing scheme is an extension of the ad-hoc on-demand distant vector (AODV) routing scheme to include QoS capabilities via the use of the proposed link-bandwidth calculation mechanism.
