In this paper, the existed local area network of the eastern Libyan 220 kV network control center is to be studied in the order to plan the extension of it according to the extension of the high voltage network. A new plan of the high voltage network is investigated and, accordingly, the importance of a new plan of the local area network is studied after making the factory acceptance test on this local area network
