This paper aims to propose and analyze packet duplicated handoff schemes with both buffer size and advertisement period based on mobile velocity. The results show that the proper advertisement period according to mobile velocity can reduce the packet drop and the system load. In addition, the buffer size depended on both mobile velocity and proper velocity-based advertisement period can reduce packet lost effectively.
