In this work we evaluate the reverse link coverage and capacity of a CDMA micro cellular system for voice and high data-rate (HDR) users using static simulations, dynamic simulations and analytical approaches. We study the ideal Manhattan like street pattern so the full- and the half-square cell plan are considered. To obtain coverage plots in terms of burst admission probabilities for HDR users, we use static simulations. As the true admission probabilities also depend on system dynamics, including soft handoff events, we enhance our results using dynamic simulations. The capacity plots are obtained using a hybrid simulation and analysis approach.
