In this paper the downlink communications performance of multiuser WLAN systems where the base station is used to transmit signals to various users is analyzed. A solution for the optimization problem of maximizing the number of simultaneous users while satisfying the bit rate, energy and bit error criterion for users in the system is proposed. The proposed algorithm offers a low complexity and better performance than previous reported.
