The problem of decentralized robust controllers for a, class of uncertain large scale interconnected systems is considered. It is assumed that uncertainties and interconnections satisfy the so-called matching conditions and their bounds contain some unknown constants. For such unknown bounds, a modified adaptive law is proposed. By combining a sliding mode controller with the modified adaptive law, we construct a decentralized adaptive sliding mode controller. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of the results.
