This paper is aimed at providing medical doctors an affordable stereoscopic high definition (HD) video over highspeed segments of the public IP networks. The presence and reality feeling in telemedicine are necessary for many invasive procedures, real-time motion-detection and real-time specimen analysis. This research is motivated by the emergence of wide area high speed optical networks and recent advances in the held of telemedicine. Telemedicine aims to facilitate healthcare in more advanced manner and to improve coordination between surgeons. This paper presents the proposed design for affordable stereoscopic HD telemedicine video framework which can be deployed in real time interactively over IP networks. We have developed a prototype system that can capture multiple videos, and transmit via a network and displays HD video in real time.
