From 2001, the beyond 3G mobile communication R&D project named Future Technologies for Universal Radio Environment (FuTURE) under the framework of the national 863 program has been launched in China. The State Key Lab. of Millimeter Waves (SKLMMW) in Southeast University was supported by the "FuTURE" program to develop a multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) system and the RF subsystems for China B3G systems. In this paper we give a brief introduction to the research progress on RF subsystems for MIMO and B3G systems.
