In this paper, we will discuss the implementation and performance issue of the IPSec VPN for the home gateway. We have developed the hardware accelerated IPSec protocol over the home gateway which is providing IPv4/v6 dual stack, IEEE1394 interconnection, IP multicast based HDTV (high definition TV), VoIP, VDSL and real time visitor confirming capability
