A system for measuring the velocity of a flowing liquid is presented using three interdigital transducers, one of which is used for the radiation of the compressional wave into the liquid. The velocity is estimated from the measurement of the output voltage corresponding to the phase difference between two output signals detected at the output transducers, mounted on the same surface opposite to the surface with the input transducer.
