The performance of a Gunn diode under the influence of gamma radiation

A Gunn diode has been tested under the influence of 2.1 × 10
⁶
R/h gamma radiation from a 1.5-MeV Van de Graaf generator. A slight decrease in output power was detected under radiation conditions which could be due in part to heat generation. No significant changes in performance were observed.
