This paper shows the design of an embedded real-time kernel and systems-on-a-chip design for reconfigurable hardware in an autonomous landing vehicle (ALV) control logic unit. A scheme for high-level design of the embedded signal processor as a SoC is described with reference to the performance metrics of a commercial kernel which is used for prototyping.
