Caching and pre-fetching are well known strategies for improving the performance of Internet access through a wireless Internet gateway. In combination with data mining, these strategies can decide to pre-fetch Web documents with higher accuracy. We present a pre-fetching strategy for a cache, based on user access patterns; it dramatically improves wireless Internet access performance.
