This work presents a joint progressive coding of range and texture images. We use the method that decomposes the range and texture images in hierarchical structures using wavelet transform and scales up pixels of texture by using the information of the range images coded by EZW-IP. This coding method enables an efficient coding and progressive scalability representation of a 3D model. We apply this proposed method to range and texture images acquired by laser range finders and show the validity of this method.
