Investigation on the threshold setting of intracellular calcium ion concentration in hippocampal CA3 network model for synaptic plasticity

An intracellular calcium ion concentration ([Ca/sup 2+/]/sub i/) is closely related to plasticity of biological cells. In this paper, in order to find a relation between a distribution of [Ca/sup 2+/]/sub i/ and an activity of network models, the distribution of [Ca/sup 2+/]/sub i/ is investigated. We propose a presumption for making the modification rule of interconnection plasticity among cells.
