Using cut-out features for efficient printed circuit board testing and failure analysis

Cut-out is a feature incorporated into a printed circuit board to facilitate selective removal of a particular component or part of the circuit board with minimum impact on the rest of the board. This feature enables test and failure analysis personnel to characterize early failures, to analyze intermittent failures, and to track the progression of failures during testing.
