In this paper, we propose a simple antenna array-based MC-CDMA receiver that combines efficient blind adaptive beamforming based on maximum signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (MSINR) criterion with parallel interference cancellation (PIC) for an MC-CDMA uplink system. The beamformer is used to enhance the desired signal and reduce the co-channel interference from other directions. For in-beam multiple access interference (MAI) cancellation, a PIC detector is used. Simulation results show that the proposed receiver can efficiently reject in-beam MAI even when one of the arrival angles is the same as that of the desired user.
