Collaborative NC simulation is the inevitable result of the development of network collaboration and NC simulation technologies, and will become one of the important parts of comprehensive collaborative CAD technologies. Definition of the data of collaborative NC simulation, collaboration of its data, controlling of its data and avoidance of conflict during cooperation, are the four key technologies of collaborative NC simulation, so are particularly discussed in the paper. Numerically controlled simulation protocol and one mechanism called "putting up hand" were raised to implement a prototype system of collaborative NC simulation. The prototype system was developed based on Acis 3D Modeling and Hoops toolkits. System construction, methods of system implementation and examples are given.
