This work discusses the necessity of the memory of historical data in CSCW, and the methods of memory. Keeping cooperative operation history is a basic requirement for CSCW systems. This work proposes an approach to use the memory of historical data to record all the members' operations. Version control techniques are adopted to keep cooperative history. In the proposed approach, the historical data are used to find out where a mistake occurs, by whom, and during which operation.
