According to the jig's separation effect affected strongly by loose of Jig bed, soft sensing model of a loose Jig bed was put forward via fuzzy inference system (FIS). The corresponding fuzzy rules were originated from the operational experiences. Using the main evaluating index of the jig's separation effect-imperfection (I) and total misplaced material (Cz), status of the loose jig bed was estimated by fuzzy inference system. The experimental simulation result and practical application effect all indicate that this method is feasible.
