Multitasking personnel, supported by technology, would create a much more satisfactory customer service team. These personnel would deliver information, control ticketing, inform tourist about the surroundings, and act as security or surveillance personnel and so on. The author describes some of the benefits of wireless IT systems, as proven in a demanding application. A multi-purpose device in the shape of a PDA connected to a Wi-Fi network has started solving some problems in information delivery. Using this platform, a whole new level of customer service and traffic safety can be achieved.
