A fast algorithm using the Walsh transform for tracking moving objects in noisy environments is proposed. As the arithmetic operator of the Walsh transform only includes addition and subtraction, the tracking algorithm based on the Walsh transform performs more efficiently than tracking algorithms based on the other orthogonal transforms in practice. Promising simulation results of this novel approach are presented.
