Constant modulus (CM) based algorithms for blind channel equalization is well known for their effectiveness and simplicity. Recently, new CM-based equalization algorithms with improved performance have been proposed. In this paper, a new blind adaptive CM equalization algorithm using a quasi-Newton optimization method is proposed. Simulation results are presented which demonstrate that the proposed algorithm leads to an improved convergence rate as well as reduced computational complexity relative to those of some existing algorithms.
