Programmable optical wavelength filter based on from a 2-D MEMS micromirror array

A 2-D MEMS micromirror array is shown to generate arbitrary spectral reflectance profiles by diffraction from its deformable surface. Both amplitude and phase of the reflected spectrum can be programmed by computer.
