In this paper, we present two low-complexity equalizers for frequency selective multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels: the MMSE-block decision feedback equalizer (MMSE-BDFE) and the prefiltered list-type MAP equalizer. We compare their complexities and performance. This comparison shows that the prefiltered list-type MAP equalizer is more complex but achieves better performance than the MMSE-BDFE. Moreover, simulation results show that the performance of these two low-complexity equalizers approach the performance of the MAP equalizer.
