This article presents an efficient conformal-mesh generating technique suitable for the conformal finite-difference time-domain (CFDTD) technique. We describe the mesh generation for different types of objects, including planar structures (patch antennas and microwave circuits), as well as for arbitrary three-dimensional structures created by using AutoCAD, GID, or other commercial solid modelers. The versatility of the mesh-generation tool is illustrated through several examples.
