The contribution deals with the simulation of the digital video signal transmission through the baseband transmission channel model. The simulation model that covers selected phenomena of DVB (digital video broadcasting) system signal processing is presented. The digital video signal is represented with the digital data of one noncompressed video frame that is channel encoded and protected against errors with the forward error correction (FEC) codes. The transmission channel model has influence on transmitted digital data and its distortion and the pertubative signals affect on the data decoding. The developed interactive simulation software (Matlab application) features are outlined too and the conclusion presents efficiency of the used FEC codes.
