In this paper the basic demands on structure and equipment of technology nucleus are laid down. This technology nucleus is a part of mechatronic laboratory for eco-vehicles parameter research and identification or drive component and system optimization. On the example of the technology nucleus usage, in the case of drive system energy efficiency optimization, the research of improvement and optimization frames is presented. The paper points out that good structured technology nucleus enables research for all types of drive systems.
