For Pt.1 see ibid., vol.151, no.2, p.175-8, March 2004. Final validation of a dynamic equivalent (DE) has been used to obtain the equivalent parameters from field tests and apply them to practical stability studies. Microcomputer-based equipment was developed for online measurement and identification, from which several valuable field results were captured. The results were then applied to dynamic response simulation and stability limit calculation.
