This paper presents the conceptual design of system with APAA (active phased array antenna) for HAPS in Ka band. Ka band transmitter and receiver will be designed using the system developed in S band. Characteristics of one element for multibeam antenna is simulated, fabricated, and tested. Also, in this paper, radiation pattern of APAA with 19 elements based on the simulation values and experimental results of one element are compared.
