Space-time transmit diversity (STTD) is an effective technique to combat radio fading in mobile communication systems. Previous work on STTD has been restricted to the idealistic case of perfect channel estimation and uncorrelated spatial fading. In this paper, the performance evaluation of STTD over correlated Nakagami fading channels is presented. The effects of imperfect channel estimation and correlation between different fading channels is considered and analyzed carefully. Simulation results are provided for STTD scheme over independent and correlated Nakagami fading channels with various fading parameters and correlation coefficients.
