Simple DCS-RZ signal transmitter using an optical loop mirror and a 3-input optical phase modulator

In this paper a novel DCS-RZ signal generator that needs only one phase modulator is described. In the transmitter, we use an optical loop mirror and a 3-input optical modulator. A signal generation experiment confirms the feasibility of the method.
