In this paper, we study on an agent approach for synergetic management of the heterogeneous spatial information on the network. First, we focus on establishing a semantic network model for spatial information based on extended spatial metadata; secondly, we propose an agent-based interoperating framework among heterogeneous spatial databases based on spatial semantic network model; lastly, according to the framework, we implement a core agent system named PKU Agent System (PAS) for spatial information interoperation on the network using Java language.
