The indirect identification of the magnetostriction properties of SiFe alloys under a variety of mechanical stress conditions is discussed. It is shown how these properties can be obtained from the anhysteretic curves as a function of stress, starting from the experimentally obtained quasi-static hysteretic magnetization behavior.
