This paper presents a way of implementing the MOST channels' Noise Current Cancellation Technique (NCCT) on a mixer for reducing its noise figure, generating a new mixer architecture designed in a 0.18μm RF CMOS UMC technology. The MOST Channel's Noise Current Cancellation Technique was first time presented. The noise figure performance of the new mixer architecture can be as low as 4.4dB@80MHz or if coils are used 1dB@80MHz noise figure can be reached. The conversion gain of such a mixer is higher than 20dB, the IP3 is -5dBm and the power consumption are smaller than 18mW at 1.8V power supply. All simulations for the new mixer architecture were made with SpectreRF.
