The half-square Yagi - a novel design approach for long distance low-HF applications

A novel antenna design is achieved by combining a half-square radiator with a Yagi-Uda parasitic reflector. This hybrid approach achieves moderate directivity with a low angle of elevation while avoiding the need for an extensive ground radial system or a phasing network.
