Illumination of two sides of a wedge is quite common scenario for building corners in microcellular environment. Holm's heuristic solution for the diffraction coefficient, which is an extension to Luebbers' solution, is inaccurate in this region. This work avoids limitations of Holm's diffraction coefficient in the illumination region when the source illuminates both faces of a wedge. The improved diffraction coefficient gives a result that is very close to Maliuzhinets' rigorous diffraction coefficient. The improvement is valid for parallel and perpendicular polarizations.
