In this paper the quantization noise in the non-feedback Delta-Sigma modulator with DC-input is analysed. Since no global feedback is present in the modulator the quantization-noise will not be fed back to input of the quantizer which simplifies the analysis compared to the case of a conventional modulator By defining a proper quantization function which is equivalent to the ideal uniform quantizer for restricted input values, the quantization error may be analysed using established methods for a simple memoryless quantizer The non-feedback modulator is modeled in Matlab, and the simulated results fits well with the proposed analytic model.
