This paper presents a formulation in the frequency domain for the dynamic losses due to hysteresis and eddy currents in cylindrical cores of isotropic materials. After the identification of the scalar parameters of the modified Preisach scalar model (MSPM), the symmetric cycles are computed and approximated with their elliptical equivalent cycles. Then, the magnetic field-magnetic induction distribution is computed with a one-dimensional model in the frequency domain. Some remarks about the analysis of eddy currents losses versus frequency and the computational accuracy with respect to experimental value are given.
