A novel security next generation intelligent network (NGIN) based Parlay API is presented in the paper. Due to a wide range of heterogeneous hardware platforms, the forthcoming network convergence to IP-based networks and the tremendous growth of telecommunication markets, NGIN will be the core in the future world. Firstly, we give the description of the NGIN architecture. Then we focus on the security issues and requirements raised by NGIN. Based on Security Gateway Server (SGS) and Security Interceptor (SI), new security architecture with its associated security management for NGIN is presented. The security mechanism and security service for NGIN are transparent to the upper level application. The function, integration and implementation are given at the end of paper.
