With the complexity of the equipments and their functions on trains, the control, supervision and maintenance of these equipments also become more and more complex. So it is necessary to use train area network to realize the cooperation of control, supervision, service and other factors and realize integration of locomotives and trailers. In this paper, we design and propose a scheme for train area network. The whole train network connecting vehicles uses autonomous decentralized system (ADS) technology and vehicle network connecting devices inside a vehicle uses publish/subscribe (P/S) communication mode based on controller area network (CAN). We also give an evaluation to this scheme of train area network.
