The paper aims to use the literature on learning styles to establish a list of assumptions and guidelines and to identify a theoretical framework/model for designing and developing a web-based course. It describes the process of integrating learning style theory into the design and development of an undergraduate online course, and provides information on the effects of the course design specification on the quality of students' learning and their attitude and satisfaction.
