An algorithm that uses part of the X.25 protocol for circuit switching has been developed for data packet transmission in Bluetooth scatternets. The goal of this algorithm is to minimize the overhead on the data packet from the usual routing-type algorithms, as well as to efficiently transmit data packets through a Bluetooth scatternet without the prior information about the configuration of a scatternet.
