A novel definition of processing gain for the system level simulation in WCDMA

The physical layer structure of WCDMA is different from synchronous CDMA system. Therefore, a novel integration scheme of link and system level simulation is needed. In this paper, we introduce a novel method for estimating required E/sub b//N/sub o/ of system level data using E/sub c//I/sub or/ of link level data. And we verify the accuracy of modified estimation scheme through the snapshot system level simulation. Also, we simulate the downlink capacity with estimated required E/sub b//N/sub o/. In result, the new method is very simple but very accurate.
