PV generation is chosen to be added to an existing utility system. The proposed PV system containing a fuzzy controlled converter will be examined in view of variable insolation level and variable loading, where the synchronization process of the PV-system with the utility grid system, its configuration and performance will be assessed. The study has shown an inverse relationship between the variation in both the converter duty cycle and in available insolation. The study indicates the effect of PV-module configuration on the duty cycle. A cascaded converter configuration will be required to make it possible to transfer all the available PV generation to the grid and connect the D.C. load and source at specified voltage level. An economic assessment is presented to evaluate the system feasibility.
